The Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences of the University of Paris VII (STEP Department) is closely collaborating with the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris in education and research in the Earth Sciences, Planetary Exploration and Environmental Sciences. Together with IPGP, a community of about 150 professors and researchers, 150 technical staff and 150 graduate students, post-docs and visitors is dedicated to research and higher education in the physical and chemical geosciences. It is located in the Universities of Paris VII and IPGP campus, in the center of Paris, France.

The announcement and confirmation of the positions are expected in Spring of 2007. However, all future candidates must be approved and registered on the Assistant professor qualification list of the French Ministry of Education. The deadline for qualification is October, 16, 2006 and more information on the qualification process can be found at:
